New Website for Mortgage Broker
SMP Mortgage Management in Worcester is a well established Mortgage & Protection Broker. They had ideas for a new website and commissioned Red Fox New Media to make these a reality. After a preliminary meeting we presented a proposal for the new site including a new logo and colour scheme based on the owners preferences.
Challenge
The website includes dedicated pages for each offering that the company provides. The main visual elements of these were based on flat artwork provided by an industry body that the client is a member of. The client suggested that these be used as is. However, this presented a few issues; the colour scheme clashed with that of the site, text as an image is pointless in terms of SEO and finally flat art won’t be responsive and adapt to suit the varying screen dimensions of the devices that customers use. Especially on the smaller screens on mobile phones the image and text would be tiny and practically unreadable…
Solution
To resolve this issue we recreated the flat art as responsive HTML/CSS in the new SMP corporate colours along with indexable text, the exact same images as the original flat art we sourced from picture libraries.

Other Features of This Website Build
The website also features a reviews section with the facility for customers to leave new ones that can be approved by the client for display on the site. A sticky menu that always remains on the screen but shrinks on scroll. Extensive GDPR compliant Privacy and Cookie Policy implementation. A contact form with scrollable/zoomable location map.
